Also, I was looking in the .X file and the sections for materials and it looks like blender just doesn't include the filename for the texture in there

The texture coordinates are also missing, which is a much bigger problem.

I think I may have a solution.
I think the .x exporter can only export UV mapped textures, and I was just using materials so I guess I'll have to go learn UV mapping and try that out.

alright I guess I'll start working on the other models I've made and redoing them

sucks though because the other texturing thing was alot easier and less time consuming

Ok done, didn't take as long as I thought once I got the hang of it.
It really is a better way of texturing than the first way I was using.
