Installer issues.

The installer seems to work fine, but when the progress bar finishes I get this error. "There is a problem with this windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." Any ideas on how to fix this?

edit - Just read the other thread here and it looks like Karl is aware of it. I will leave this thread here though.

There might be an issue with Windows permissions. The failure-to-install thing is because this program requires that specific version of Direct3D be installed.

Do the files remain after you quit the installer?

No not even the folder.

Ok. Are you running Vista as well? I'm scouring the web for documentation about how to fix this...
