Old Xenimus versions.

Postby Necromadon » Thu Aug 07, 2008 4:01 pm

I thought I remembered seeing them posted here before.

I'm hoping to get my hands on some of the older versions of Xen (1.11, 1.12, 1.14, or 1.20) so I can get the old model files.

Why would you throw away such gold?!

If you find them I'd really appreciate it :)

It worked. Looking at the menu from when the game was good is making me die of nostalgia now :(

It was actually version 1.19.

hmm you know, maybe it would be possible to emulate packets to login and be able to walk around(kinda like XPS did...). I might look into it... altho i highly doubt it cuz... well yeah it'd be fucked up

edit: on second thought.... nahhh its too hard.

I would REALLY like to see an oldschool server sometime...

Could Volucris do this on a separate server using its own music/textures/models, and the same old map.

Then we could just override it all with the old Xen textures.

In short, PV can almost exactly replicate Xenimus. Now that we have world maps, I can use the map maker to generate the Xenimus world using Xenimus textures. I've decrypted both the animated and the static mesh formats, so I can fill the world with Xenimus's meshes. All that would be really take work would be to duplicate the Xenimus spells and classes, but that's design.

That said, I think that people will like the new form of PV enough that I won't have to do that, though :)
