Thank you for your help! You've come at a very opportune time--I'm going to release the new public map editor very soon.

Might be an idea to vet whatever suggested names you get pretty stringently, just to maintain the appropriate flavor of the game. Donors could always resubmit until they choose something appropriate that you like, and it's a shame to spoil the atmosphere with a bunch of daft names that we're stuck with...

And please reassure me you're not going to pay away these donations in taxes, cos that'd be a real tragedy...

(Okay, considering the delicacy of that subject, I'll accept silence as an appropriate response.)

Angry Cuban - is the name I would like my guard named

also if it possible for him to be a gnome and have a paddle as his weapon.

Guard - Azurick (mage-like Guard, possibly like Renn in Xen)
Merchant - Bobo
Boss - Zarin' Mal

If Bobo is impossible (or too stupid for a serious merchant name) I'll think of a better one.

[edit]
Not a problem Karl, can't wait for this to be completed.

I think donations could either give gear, or levels. Because face it, who really wants to level up again, it'd be awesome to just chat, trade gear and such. Maybe transfer characters from the xenimus game to this game with donations over 100 dollars. Just my 2 cents. =D

sourceofprovidence,

I do not know the views of Karl on this but I can however express the following.

Firstly, Project Volucris is a newly developing MMORPG. It is elaborating and expanding on the game engines used and inspired by Xenimus. This is not Xenimus or anything relating with it in terms of content, therefor characters transfering from Xenimus is irrelevant and not a valid option for that matter. That would be like trying to transfer your World of Warcraft character into Xenimus, that is not an option.

Second of all, Project volucris is not a private server. I am sad to inform you that donation for "gear" or in game weapons and armour is a very intuitive idea if you are the owner and developer of a private server, this is not. The donations provided will help in the developement of the gameplay and content itself, which in my opinion is the bigger picture, and any contributions recieved help to create NPC's, Items and even Naming or even designining Quests possibly.

I hope that you understand that this is by no means the little brother of Xenimus, in fact it more so the entire Family in which Xenimus did not create.

Thank You. :)
