Modeling

Postby Halogram » Mon Jun 01, 2009 9:45 pm

Coming back to make some models. I had been on the crew 4-5 years ago, before models where even able to be used, so I got busy with other things, but now I'm back. I'll be throwing up some models every other day, if your on the team, and use 3ds max 2009, add me to aim : insanesniper55

I Just got a black widow modeled, and this black widow is 2-3X the size of a human, im thinking this will be a good questing monster, I wanna finish the uvw unwrap before I post tho.
I plan on modeling a bunch of custom prop items, (House items, tables, pillars, good models for level design)
Also what unit scale should I be looking to expect? 1meter = 1 human height?

I'll keep you posted.

I got one of the first models done, I just got back into modeling, and i'm about to finish downloading lydas video tutorials, so I will be throwing out some more advanced models soon, (Dragons, Humans, Ogers, Armors)

everything in this model is 100% freehand, and custom, even the texture.

The texture on the whole spider is a little weird (for a spider lol) but nonetheless awesome :D

TY, I was thinking I might do something on his bottom belly, prob the red hour glass type look.

btw the model is 1.1k polys, and that was because I wanted the spider to look extra smooth, and nice, if it needs to be reduced, it can be done!

btw, go ahead and throw me as many references as you possibly can, the more references, I have the easier it is for me to model stuff.

Human dimensions mainly, I need a Front and side view, proportional, to setup reference planes.
