Crash: Portal/Guard

Crash: Portal/Guard

Server is down and I believe I know why. It happened exactly when I ported a now evil player to the ancient lands as a guard was chasing him. When he went in, the guard flipped out and started speeding around the square, and then the server crashed. BTW, that play (forgot name) got killed many times, because he kept spawning at square. It was really unfair to him, he probably has a huge penalty and lost all his gear :( .

Edit for clarity: I think when the guard tried to attack him in a totally isolated land, he bugged.

2nd Edit for relevant information: Before the server crashed, since I've logged on today and probably before, it was having a bad case of lag spikes. The game would freeze up for 1-2 seconds and then resume. 2 others confirmed the same problem in global chat. Another complained of just "lag" at square. Any1 else experience this only recently?

yeah, radamantus got killed to many times and he therefore ended up being owned by guards.

implement outlaw town for evil players where they can regain strength?
Also when we are speaking of evil players, my warriors evil because of some random fluke, how do i get him good again? cant grind my way there, seems bugged.

Yea the guards flipped out on my screen as well than servers crashed. I also am getting massive lag spikes.

hes not the only one having them can confirm that many of guild members have it aswell(just so you dont think hes downloading pr0n) :mrgreen:

Do evil players spawn in town? That would be unfortunate.

how do i get him good again? cant grind my way there, seems bugged.

Alignment goes up with time, not grind. As long as you log in with the character every day (and don't kill more than one other char unprovoked), he'll regain alignment at full rate. If you don't log in for a day, he'll regain at a slower rate.

yeah but you know me, i have to struggle the urge to kill some one, so in a long period if i am to still be evil, what will happen since theres no evil town etc? if i die ill end up on sq and guards will rape me etc.

wouldnt it be easier if i could just grind it off?

Ah, but should it be easier? Then it would be possible to have the best of both worlds...

Correct, he spawns at square where one normally does, and then gets killed by any bystanding players and/or guards (over, and over, and over. It must've sucked.

grinding it off on a high lvl might be considered a punishment 8) thats if you played xen as a pkr, not being able to enter towns etc socialize, grind grind grind..

That's not good at all. We'll need to get an evil spawnpoint ASAP.

The evil spawnpoint didn't compile correctly. I'm fixing this in tonight's update.
