no log is produced either..

No that was a new account i made and tried to remake speed3b and it said the name was taken. Thats weird that it shows it on a different account.

But the one speed3b was on started with an 8.

I tried to think what I had installed before the re-image,
Then it hit me.
I installed .net 2.0 (i have 1.1 on this image)
and the dx runtime files
so that I could play thad's tetris!

Is there anyway to delete the name or change it so i can recreate that on an account that ill know Karl?

I wouldn't worry about what your name is for now--every time I restart the server, all the characters are going to be wiped anyway. When game mechanics are implemented this will change but for now when I start the server up again (likely, soon) you'll have to remake the account anyway. So just use a different name for now

Alright thats fine. Thanks for the info. I made a character "Clown Mage" and one with no name at all, lol. But its weird when ever i have client.exe running and say i open up an IE window or anything else the cpu usage of client.exe jumps from 5%-10% to what ever is available on my system, usually 90%-99%. So right now i have client.exe running and if i click on it jumps between 6% and 13% for an overall cpu usage of 25%-38%, and now as im typing client.exe is using anywhere above 88% for a total of 100%

Yeah the client doesn't "spin" very well--by this I mean it runs REALLY fast when you're not looking at it, so it goes bonkers and eats up your system resources. Also on my "to fix" list

i thought it was just me, but the map editor seemed to do that as well.

Alpha luks great except...I see no writing on the menus, I only see the Voucris heading, when i hover my mouse over certain areas it changes to a hand but when i click it the next screen becomes a black screen. any ideas?

brakeyboy-- 9sam1 is having exactly the same problem. I'm trying to figure out what's up. Download the patch I send you and mail me the debug log it generates as an attachment.

brakey and 9sam1, could you list your computer specs, specifically go to start>run>dxdiag, then click save all information, let it run and it will ask you to save it as a text file, then either send that file to karl or post the contents here

It works great. Got it to work before I got off the comp last night.
But uhh along with what someone said, is it possible to make it use as little resources as possible? (i.e. NOT full)
Cause i remember playing xen, it would always use 100%, when it honestly only needed like 10%, and this made my computer super hot (well, not hot, but the fans kicked into super uber mega high [Yes! it was really that fast.] gear and it was loud as hell, lol)
To fix it I just underclocked to the base 1ghz for cool 'n quiet

when i try to create and account the account shows as 0, and when i select my server it then always changes to unselected when i re visit that page. I cant understand why no account number shows when i try to create the ccount

Karl i know what the problem was with the writing and menus, Its a firewall or internet security blocking it, i didnt need to run client2 when i got home, lol i was that excited i tried to load the game in work behind BT firewalls and internet security...lol PWNED i guessed,

I able to get the menus now at home, just having alot of problem with creating an account.

You have to select your server first, the prime server, then go to create account, click new account, type in a password for the account, then click new account again. Go to create character on the main menu, it prompts for the password again, so enter it, and create a character.


I just found you thad. Your sitting near the bottom of the normal map. If you just follow the grass pattern around then your just sitting there like a chair.

oh - suggestion for next version:
menus have default buttons enabled
(when you hit enter it will accept the entry, like enter your password then hit enter, instead of always having to click)

2 things im wondering.

I cant scroll around my inven, and when i click items nothing happens. Keys menu is just black , same with skills.
