Sounds good. It shouldnt look actually evil though. Just very impressive. It should probably be very shiny and of a lighter color. Grey/white. It shouldn't be all that big really. Its a one handed weapon. Most places credit it as +9 to hit, infinite MP, 90-150 basedamage. It probably steals HP too

Straight or curved edge?

Straight.
I dont think Eastern style swords belong in this project. I dunno, maybe. Maybe just one curved weapon as a kinda special unique blade.
Find the latin word for distant and call it that + sword.

What should vis gladius and sun staff look like?

Sun staff should be a golden(with small white curly stripes throughout) staff. Fairly plain. We can use shaders later on to make the staff glow and look very impressive.

Vis Gladius should look like the most wicked, powerful, terrifying weapon in the world. (thats what it is)

In Xenimus, the Sun Staff is gold-colored (using the gold from the 8-colors palette) then has a transparent star effect sheathing it.

That could be either one, depending on scale
I suppose I could shrink it down to be a dagger and that be short sword

Yah the mace does look neat; however, the only thing is that it wouldn't look anything like that in the actual game, because the rendering systems between Blender/3DSMAX/Maya and Volucris are so much different. Textures should always be used (because they are consistant and simple) over special particle effects for that reason.

Yeah i scratched the spirit mace thing lol

The fire, mystic, acid, lava, etc maces are all just textures.

ok well making sure you have the object you want to texture selected, hit F5

a screen will pop up at the bottom, under link to object click add new(if there is one, if not it already has a material), then press f6
click add new under texture>
under texture type go to image>
then click load image to the right>
find the texture you want to use then hit ok

now press f12 to render your model

k i did everything and loaded "itm2" so that color pallete from xen. loaded it and hit f12 and a new window pops up and when its done loading all i see is a gray 3d box. and nothing on my model changed.

im a bit confused at " find the texture you want and click ok" not sure what that means cause i dont see an ok button . did you mean to find the image and load it or something else?

Sorry i was on my way to my parents house.

Ok lets do a little test.

Open up blender so you have a fresh project.

There should be a cube in the middle of the screen.
Don't move it, rotate, nothing.

Ok now press f5 and it will take you to the material screen, and it should already have a material associated with it.
Now press f6 to go to the texture screen. Click add new, then under texture type hit image. Now go to load image, find the image you want and then hit select image.
Now, press F12 to render and it should show the cube with whatever texture you selected on it.

cube works yet when i import models in they dont work. any idea why?

They don't work or you mean don't texture?

Cause you are just importing the model, you have to texture it yourself

when i import the model and do everything you say the render box is completly empty.
