of my man I made with just his legs walking
(made in about 10 minutes, which is why his legs are just moving)

http://poorserver.no-ip.org/projectvolu ... anwalk.avi

next stage is to make his arms move, and his body twist, this is just a preview for myself to make sure I could do it lol

Looks like a good start! Will this be exported in .X, or some other way?

That's a good question. How are animations handled in .x?

Badly. They can be keyframed, but it's going to be a dog to use them because the DXSDK code is slow and I haven't bothered rewriting it. I will, later, but for now it takes up a bunch of memory.

Holy crap those look pretty cool!

One thing you can do to reduce polycounts though is flatten out portions when you're texturing (such as the mage's face)

the screenshots (except the ogre) are taken with subsurfacing level 1 or 2 on, so they look alot smoother than they actually are
they're actually decently low-poly, and I can reduce them more automatically

K ive made a model, now how do i add textures to it and stuff? Is there a way to save it as a file thats editable by blender?

PostPosted: Mon Jul 16, 2007 1:17 pm
by thadiusofx3
yeah theres a button to export it to obj and .mtl

then go into blender, delete the default cube, go to import>wavefront obj> then find the file (my documents>makehuman>myobjs by default
