A) I rarely start threads.
B) It's finals week--I've got very little time for anything. I'm still here though. You can always tell that the mods hang around by the absence of spam-bot posts. When the porn and drugs start piling up, then you need to worry.

I think there are a lot of lurkers at this point--but that will change soon. I'm going to do a public release of the newest map editor as soon as I can (no promises, but it's looking like I can have it done within the week). I'd write more but I'm moving out of my dorm today and I have to set up the new place where I'll be staying this summer.

The new system for the map editor is essentially complete. I'm writing a model interpreter for the .X format, then I'll release.

.X format loader is complete. I'm writing the script to load up all of the useful Xenimus meshes and organize them, then I'll do a quick readme that runs down how to add your own content to the game (and I'll do an example using all those models Thad provided!)

Im not dead either, just busy.
I do, however, check the forums every day to see if anything is updated.
Also, I am working on my programming with a R/L friend (Lig) that is interested in game programming too.

I finished my tetris clone recently (ask me if you want a copy).

Send your Tetris my way, Thad!

Here's my version that I wrote (rather hastily) for school:

It's a hack job, I know.

Awesome work joe!

Here's mine: http://mysite.astate.edu/beau.poor/release.zip

my actual program is only 28kb, but with the sounds and graphics it's like 2.5MB

To run it you need .NET framework 2.0 and the latest directx (dxwebsetup.exe is included and will update you to the april 2007 directx 9.0c)

There are still a couple bugs in it that I'm too lazy to fix right now, but I might get around to them eventually.

Oh forgot to mention: the music speeds up the higher level you get
I just thought that was a pretty cool thing to do.
