ok well i downloaded the game and tried to connect to game this is wut it said

Downloading evidyon.exe - 360 KB
ERROR! Unable to download updates at this time. If you are running Vista, this could be due to the permissions for the directory in which Evidyon is installed being set to read-only.

i read the other posts about it but some 1 needs to BREAK IT DOWN BARNEY STYLE i do not know the first thing bout programming so is the server down or do i need to do somthing diffrent?

Well, we need to know a few things to help:
- where did you install the game?
- what OS are you running (vista/XP/win98 )

i just run the game from evidyonsse2.exe or w/e its called in program files/evidyon

You only get that error if you are running the launcher, so it would be impossible for you to be running evidyon_sse2

Try this: download this file, put it into your program files/evidyon directory and run it:

i am at work right now but when i get home i'll try the link karl
btw i am runnong vista and i got the download from the forms
page at the top of the bords if that helps any..

ok it says

this application has failed to start because d3dx9_39.dll was not found re-installing the application may fix this problem

ok i tried re-installing but i get same message can u help?

Yep. This is a common error. Just google "d3dx9_39.dll" and download it, then put it into the Evidyon folder.

That should fix it

omg lol this sux ok now that i got the dll i use the launcher and it says this

says it again but when i used the file that i downloaded from u in this post it just fays stop trying to connect does that just take a while to connect?

Press 'K' to access the keys menu.
Set 'Strike' (or even better, 'Fire Strike' or 'Spin Attack') to your desired key.
Go to town.
Warning: right now, the default system keys are reset every time you log out.
