So apparently, the company that EJ bought his models from is back up-and-running--so I emailed them for a quote on our very own rigged human model
It said 24-hour response time, so hopefully I'll have some more to tell you guys soon.

Nope not yet...maybe they don't work weekends? I'll send them more if they don't reply during the week. I'd really like to get some animated models for us to mess with.

Im sure i could make a model like that. It would look just like that though and i wouldnt want to get you in any trouble. And im not sure what it takes to make it move. I just know i can make it in rhino3d. Very simple mesh.

Could you purchase the EXACT models that Ej used? Like the old Daemon/Volucris.

It would be possible if the contract between FlashFire and EJ says that he is LICENSED use of the mesh that was created, and did not transfer rights over the mesh to EJ. For example, you buy Windows, but what you really buy is a license to use Windows -- Microsoft is going to keep selling licenses to other people. You would probably have to review FlashFire's policy on how they sell or license the use of their meshes. And all of that legal crap that come from it.

Yes, FlashFire licenses their content, although "exclusive licenses" are also sold.

Well after Xenimus was made I found the Daemon model on Flashfire, so I think they were licensed out, not entirely bought. If you can get the original models that is a HUGE PLUS for PV.

I agree. Once I get closer to that point again I'll ask FF directly.
By the way, has anyone checked out that animating program I posted?
