blender is pretty much the only free one that is really widely supported and has lots of exporters and stuff--but if you learn the basics of another program, they transfer over easily. If you want something that's very well developed, but not blender, try MilkShape. It costs a little money but it's worth it. Anim8or is also good but I don't think it exports into a usable format.
The sword looks pretty good
It just needs texturing. Very nice form, though! It seems like you have a keen eye for the style.

Ok here is my first attempt.. It would equate to the acid sword but I figured since things cannot have the same names it could be called "sword of venum" <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x41/alinktothepast_92/swordofvenum.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>

Alright, I have got some more weapons comming up, if you liked the first one I posted you will like these, I decided to move away from the cartoonish look that the first drawing I did has, to a more realistic view.. I have three more done but since I dislike uploading single pictures from my digital camera, I will do a few more and post them all at once.... should have them posted by tonight

I might try to put together some colored ones, but you would expect your basic colors for the earlier weapons, obviously shades of brown for the wooden handles and greys and silverish finishes on the metal portions, I think the only two on there that would have a significant color difference would be the blood axe, and maybe the vorpal

Do you mean to ask whether or not you could see a flat blade? No you probably can't. It's being viewed from far away.

If someone will make a list of models we need and a general design for them, I will gladly make them.
