Evidyon Crash before run.

Every time I try to run Evidyon ever since the auto-updater was added with the Normal, SSE and SSE2 versions added, I keep getting an error report window from Win XP Home.

This is shown in the technical review for the file ran (Module 1: Evidyon_see.exe)

There is no debug file for this crash, the file won't even run.

I think there may be a problem with the auto-updater...

Did you download the 1.9.0 *installer*? If you just used the auto-updater, it doesn't download the 32 MB game-file...

OK so I did some research and found that this is most likely due to an invalid DLL dependency in Evidyon. Try (1) updating to the latest version of DirectX and (2) installing Windows updates. You shouldn't need SP3 if installing that scares you (it scares me!) so just install individual updates.

SP2 issue? I get the problem on my laptop, but not my desktop. The only difference between the two is basically SP1 vs. SP2 because I just reinstalled windows on my laptop and haven't gotten around to updating yet. And me too! no way am i doing SP3!!!
