Confirmed.

If you bind ENTER to a spell or menu, you are unable to chat. Even if you remove the key-binding there is no in-game way to re-associate ENTER with chat.

Fix: log out, open up the Evidyon directory, and delete the character's .keys file. This will reset all his keys to the defaults.
