Don't worry

Postby thadiusofx3 » Sun Jun 22, 2008 4:13 pm

I haven't forgotten about the project. I've been lurking, but I have refrained from posting for about a decade now.

However, I'm still very much alive and still involved in the project. Ive come across several tools in the past few months to develop some texture and models, and I've been honing my skills.

Single-handedly modeling every single environment object in xenimus for the map maker kind of burned me out so i stopped modeling for awhile. (http://www.projectvolucris.com/files/3d ... /Finished/)

But now im back with a brand new computer and ready to model again. I started off with a simple hammer, wooden handle, stone head.

Image

Im going to move over to staves next. If anyone has any requests for models of any kind (weapons, shields, armor, scenery, etc) lemme know and ill get it done.

Sweet! For future info--if I send you concept sketches, could you make some models for me? I have a few special things in mind for the release of this game.

Of course! That's what I do best. I'm not the most creative person, so I need something to go by. I think thats how I got all of the map maker models finished so quickly.

thad the models look great!

I have a suggestion, try the staffs without the little thunderbolts. I think the floating orb thingy would be cool.

The fun in it is that I can take those out in like literally 3 seconds. I can make it look however you want, i just need to know.

Hey Thad,

Great to see you around still, pumping out models :)

I have to agree with lawn gnome the model with just the globe looks completely amazing, I think you should try modelling A very nice looking Bow similar to this maybe. That would be awesome, I havent seen any bows yet.

All the best

I don't have any fancy textures like that to use, so i just made a plain wooden one with a darker wooden handle. Note this could be completely retextured in minutes to look pretty and fit any style.

Looks very nice! I like how it is simple and functional. What is the handle supposed to be made out of? It is really dark, and nearly seems 2-dimensional because it is all black. Do you think it would be better off with a bone handle, to go with the theme?

What I think would be really cool.. is if You made the axe look similar to the bone mace... the skull could be smaller... then have the axe blades coming out of the sides of the skull.

I like the staff, but personally I think it should come around and be more circular, rather than stopping in the middle.

it would be cool to get something that looks like Skorms bow from fable in here, though it would probably be really hard lol
