I downloaded and installed Evidyon and when i launch it its stuck on the screen where i choose my resolution and above where it says Connecting to update server right under it says exactly! -

Contacting update server...
--
Downloading evidyon.exe - 825 KB
ERROR! Unable to download updates at this time. If you are running Vista, this could be due to the permissions for the directory in which Evidyon is installed being set to read-only.

^^^^^

And yes i did disable Read Only after i read that and it still shows up.

Vista doesn't yet play nice with Evidyon. Making them get along is one of the next few things on the development list.

For now, the easiest fix for this problem is just to move the game folder to a location Vista doesn't mind you messing with (e.g., your desktop, your documents folder).
