I'll post all of my new models in this thread.
If you have any suggestions on current models, or ideas for new models please post them here and I'll see what I can do. (A drawing would really help)

How come these new models don't get implemented into the game? Or at least, very often?

My ideas for what these can be used as if drawed 3D from left to right.

Spirit sword(add some glowing effect)
Ice scimitar
Magic dagger(for casters ofc)
Sword of fire(like on xen only it will not look like candy :) )
Sword of Evil

Will try finding more items you can draw up.

Might add that rare weapons should be drawed large and pimp with crystals or glowing runes or something making it kinda anime style weapons which i always have found awsome when it comes to weaponry.

They do sometimes, the Aurelian that I made went in pretty quick.

Yeah, an invisible shield and gloves which look like plate gauntlets and a mace which looks like a normal mace :)

i heard from the ones who were drawing models that they were just waiting for karl to contact them, and now he did, i hope to see many new weapon and armor models in the weeks to come, cant go around with all swords looking the same, and a helmet halfway sticking through my head.
Which is why i went on a free model hunt and downloaded like 40-50 free weapon models armor models, body models monster models etc and then sent them to karl, what we need is some one to make Armors etc, and a cloak that looks like a cloak, and maybe slim down the body models a little so they fit.

They used to be in the game.
Anyway finished the "spirit sword" and "ice blade" from those drawings, now just need to texture them.

Awsome:)

Cant wait man:), problem with gear having models that look the same means its harder to find special items.

i would remove the barracuda katana, which i found funny but abit nonserious or rename it too magic wand or whatever :)

I really like adding new models, but when push comes to shove and I'm in the last strides toward the next big update (i.e. when v2 was released) I put in the models that are easiest to use first. I haven't added a lot of new models recently because I've been busy with other things.

Now that I think about it though, it would probably help all of us if I said what would help models get added to the game faster!
- Reuse textures as much as possible
- If creating models that are part of a set, it's fine to make a unique texture for them--but have them all use the *same* root texture so that variations can be made easily by changing this texture (ex aurelian -> argent = gold -> silver)
- Textures should be 256x256 (ideally) or some other square with dimensions that are powers of 2 (64, 512)
- Use fragMotion to clean up the models and resave them in .X format, if possible
- Use this directory structure:
[/root] - "root" is your name or the name of the model pack
[/root/textures] - all textures for models go here. this makes sharing between packs easy!
[/root/X] - all .X models go here

A lot of this stuff I have to do on my own right now, and I have to re-do a lot of it each time I add a new mesh which is why it doesn't happen too often. I'll try to streamline on this side though so more stuff gets integrated for 2.10

Also, if you provide a .ZIP file or other archive, it's much less annoying than having to download each file individually from an FTP directory :) You probably shouldn't post the link on the forums, but you can always email or PM it to me.

I'll put in anything you make models for :)

BTW, if you want to make items that only have different textures, please don't make multiple .X files with each texture assigned to them. If you do, could you put the duplicates all together in a different file? That way, I can scan them in easily and not have 15 copies of the same mesh in the project.
