it's trying to update itself right now, says it's downloading a new copy of the server program.

Damn, that sucked... At least I hit level 8 before it went down

It's back up. Sorry, Sega, it looks like it didn't back up before it crashed, so everything was reset to a few minutes before we set out on our hunting trip.

wtf. I'll restart it in a minute once I get my own computer booted up.

alright, it's back up. I'll be doing some work now, but I'll leave Ventrilo up--if the server goes down again or something else goes drastically wrong, just send me a message in the chat and I'll see to it.

I restarted it. Just let me know on the Ventrilo server if this happens and I can fix it.

up. I'm going to bed, so if it goes down again (and it probably will), I won't be able to restart it again until I wake up (in about 7 hrs).

Uh...wow! Looks like there's a memleak.

Yeah, it's going down regularly, but, odd thing: it kicks everybody and we all get "connecting ...", but when I log on to the server, the program is up and running--I have to close it and restart it before the server comes back.

Ok then this means it went into an infinite loop somewhere. Great....this type of problem sucks to try to find without a debugger. I'll get on it when comp's running again.

Typically when it has been crashing as of late it is not just like a freeze/kick. My character will just start running in the last direction I told him to until the DC happens.

K, just made it go poo poo again. I did note what I did right before it crashed....literally RIGHT before. I had previously grabbed some red pots outta storage. I logged to reset my recall. Logged back on and forgot that they were going to disappear. Soooo I pulled out another stack and set it on the ground. Figured, maybe that way you can get an item to stay when you pull it out. Logged off, then back on. They were still sitting there on the ground. I clicked to move over to them and started running off. Thus, server crashed. Related? I dunno.

restarted.

Crashed again.

Like Karl said, memleak. It's still however odd that the server would seem like running normally until a reboot.

There's an update coming out that will hopefully kill this

I downloaded the update, but i believe the server is down again. Or was it ever back up? Because i just keep getting the connecting message.

Should be up. I'm installing something serverside to help find this bug, so it might be a bit slow for the next few minutes.
