When I cast "Piri," I lose MP, but there doesn't seem to be any effect.

This has happened to me as well. Except with Hex Mortis Hydra.
I leveled for a while for this, and can't even cast it. lol

Did you select a monster/player as a target?

I tried to. But the game's been lagging so badly I can't play anymore, so :-/
Anything I can think of:
University network,
Your server,
The fact that Evidyon's taking up 50-60% of CPU for my core2duo processor.
Any advice?

I just talked to you about it in-game, I tried targeting you/other players/the Gargantua... nothing.
