It was slightly delayed by having to write a 45 page report for my GPS class :P

However! I am spending all day today coding, so I'll report back this evening. Right now, I've finished importing the server and client into the new framework. I have redone the character creation screen so the last remnant of the old GUI is finally gone. I fixed a bug in the animation code and seriously smoothed out movement. I am about to implement the new type of spells, but to do that I have to finish importing the game editor. That might take the rest of the morning, so I'll see where we stand around noon.

Well, my guess was almost right on! I've just finished reintegrating the game editor, and am checking to make sure it compiles the game correctly. Next up: Spells!

So here we are again--

Last night I completed the integration of the brand-new spell system and eliminated the remainder of the original Volucris code (from 2 years ago!) and recoded the create character screen. Today I have started work on the new version of the special effects engine that integrates support for all of the crazy spell effects, character special moves, and sounds.

It seems that the next update is going to be the one with the big character-wipe.
