They do more than anything else in the game from what I've seen. It's hard to stay alive. I think i'm like level 10, I can't tell. I have to tap heal just to stay alive with a couple of these things hitting me.

Yep, archers are baddies

Imagine having 5 on you at once... that was fun.

ive never really had a problem with them. you jus need to hide behind an object/monster, and archers become softies

Top because some of them are not really powerfull.

I keep dying from oldguard ones for some odd reason -.-

He must of added different kinds of them, because like you said; oldguard or whatever and other random names.

There are now a large number of them, yes...and they even have a back story

I have an idea about the problem with archers damage.
How about to decrease the shooting speed? That would help greatly because the real problems with them start when you run into a crossfire of two, three or more archers which all shoot like they're having automatic rifles. :J

Tis troof, and it sucks not having a fox hole or in the very least a ranged attack
