"We believe there is a hardware issue, probably the CPU fan as it is turning off after X amount of minutes. A tech is taking a look at the server that your VPS is on."

Well, hopefully everything gets fixed and taken care of without having any permanent damage inflicted on the host unit.
Is there an estimated time as to when the servers might be up again?

Not at the moment. If it isn't up by this evening, I'll try switching to the backup.
