Evidyon Pre-Beta RELAUNCH TOMORROW! (Monday Night ~9:30 PM)

I've been working hard this week to get all the changes in place, and things are shaping up very well. Expect to see:
  • New, redesigned spell set
  • Levels 1-15 available
  • Town guards!
  • Safe zones
  • More simple, more fun Geosid behavior
  • BRAND NEW SERVER MACHINE! Goodbye, lag.
  • Redesigned chaos
  • Balanced PvE and (hopefully) PVP
  • Valtus Mederi Rings (keep you from respawning on death)
  • Consumables
  • Portals
  • Improved server stability

Note: we are still testing equations and balance at this point. We hope to lift the level cap and move to a more finalized version by the end of this week.

Does items dropping on death still work about the same? ...
You die / items from inventory dropped + some from equipped / equipped is emptied into inventory.

IF it still does that, isn't a VMR counter productive? Since the next time I get up and if I die all of my items will be gone.
Will you be able to not use the ring on death? Say Marzuku is being a dick and camping me, I should be able to skip the ring (Not using it up in the process) and be able to just respawn in town.

Yes, items dropping on death works the same way--I have added the code for something to change that, but it hasn't been tested yet.

However, the VMR (in fact, any resurrection spell) will allow you two choices that appear above your head when you die: /respawn or /stand. Even if you're being camped you can always get out.

Gameplay is lagging for me. Froze once, had to log out. Other than that things are smooth.
