Unfortunately, there's no zoom-out feature in this. I've been trying to think up a good way to do it, and there doesn't seem to be an easy one; therefore, in the interest of making this project reach completion before improving everything, I'm going to move on with the client code and leave the map maker alone for a while.

This means that yes, you can go ahead and make maps! The size of the map in this editor is 300x300, big enough for just about anything I think. I'll leave how to organize the map making process up to you all (who does dungeons, towns, etc...)

I'm getting back to the code now.

Karl

(PS Where's the link? Use the same one I gave you before!)

I took out all of the side wall mountain things because i figured nobody would use them (they're really hard to put together right). If you want i could put them back.

If you re-download, I added lava again. Whoops

unhandled exception error

debugging took me to msize.c to the part that returns the size of a heap i believe, if that's any help

K thanks karl. The mountain thing isnt really needed , but the square one just looks odd to me.

Hmm that's weird Thad...you're sure it's in the Xenimus directory, and all the media is installed?

9sam1--just make it with the squares for now, we can always go back and put in mountains later to make it look cooler. The basic idea is to get the form of everything correct, then worry about the finer details.

also the wooden chest isnt full, its only half the model. Also maybe try not bunching all the models so close together, kinda hard to pick certain ones.

Yeah I had considered spacing them out a bit. I can fix that in the next set of changes.

The wood chest model doesn't load correctly. For some reason only the top works, so just use that as a stand-in for now.

well i guess its to late to space them out now cause it would mess up everyones maps right?

Nah the arrangement of the template is arbitrary

could you also have it so that when you hit tab to view the models your current x,y is stored so that when you tab back out to the map you dont need to find your place again.

Would it be possible to assign models to the numpad like hotkeys? It could save a lot of time if we could put some frequently used ones there instead of having to tab back and forth.

I'll add it to the list.

You can download again using the same link as before--but there will be an "official" public release of the mapmaker soon that changes many things. I just have to get some time to work on it...we're coming up on the end of classes and I've got papers/prelims like crazy.
