Oh no! Not the frog!

I just thought I'd stick this here seeing as Blue Frog came up on this board before.

My first thought was "why would somebody do this, apart from the obvious reason that they're a spammer." Then I looked into it - and it turns out the way Blue Frog works is that after you sign up, your email/information adds another email onto basically a DoS attack against the spammer. So, although it's a good idea, they weren't really any better than the guy who shut them down...oh well. I'd still like to see the new Black Frog when it comes out [basically the same as Blue Frog, but instead of having one central server it'll be P2P, sort of like bittorrent so it can't be DoS'd].

I'd love to see all Russian spammers taken out...then I wouldn't get emails like this one I got yesterday.

I hate spam. There is now a revival project called Okopipi that is open-source, distributed and aims to fight spam on the users' behalf.
