I added a couple MODs to the forums that will help us prevent spam-bots:

1. I installed the anti-bot mod that adds some random session data and other stuff to the posting form.
2. Guest posters must now enter a visual confirmation code

are we going to have email confirmation and visual confirmation on sign-ups? that would give us emails to bother people at and cut down on bots.

look forward to making the switch to these forums, even if they're rather ugly right now.

Yes, sign-ups have visual confirmation enabled. I may enable visual confirmation, but in my personal experience I've found that is rathar annoying when you just want to join.

the e-mail confirm? yeah, it is. it *does* ensure we have their e-mail, though. oh, well. we'll see.
