i just downloaded the update and im getting this message whenever i open the launcher ERROR! Unable to download updates at this time. If you are running Vista, this could be due to the permissions for the directory in which Evidyon is installed being set to read-only.

i dont remember how to fix this can someone please help

Well your first mistake is having Vista..
Your second mistake is asking in Evidyon Alpha - Private Section, when you should be posting this up in Bug Reports..
and your final mistake is complaining about the game when its the operating systems fault in the first place.

if you want to fix it, go to system32 folder and delete hal.dll which should fix everything..

Volcomboy: uninstall the game, then re-install but pick a folder in "My Documents" (or whatever it's called on Vista). This folder should be writable, and updating should work. If it doesn't, try disabling Vista's security thing (see bug section, I think there's a post in there about it).

ok i am also running vista and this is what i have to do
just download the game then before you try to play it go to c program files
and find evidyon. then open c in a different window and move
the file from program files to the c file and it will work.
if you need any more help just send me a message and
i will help you walk through it. and those who complain about
vista are just computer illerate lol just kidding. but take the time to
understand it and it is really easy to use with no problems.
