Another weekend, another 1500 lines of code, and I'm almost done with an update... just keeping you all posted.

Well, I guess not. Still working on getting the item system rock-solid, and I don't want to release until it is. It's just about there, but changing something this major requires some serious testing.

NoEz.. id like more damage atleast on sorcerors side, you dont need 2 balance but you need to let sorcerors do some damage so they can grind and dont feel left out!

Alright, guys, update on the update.

It should be ready by Friday, and will include:
  • Items: rock-solid system, working anti-duping mechanism, no more random disappearances. (Tip for the meantime: if you die, immediately log off and log back on, which should prevent a certain bug which from time to time causes items to poof on death).
  • Server will back up more regularly and more reliably, which will prevent item/exp loss from crashes.
  • Spells: casting delay will be much lower, queuing will work properly (i.e., if you cast a spell and then in the middle of casting cast another, the new one won't be canceled, as it is currently, but will be queued and cast once the first spell is finished), more damage.
  • New HP/MP equations which should help out a lot with balancing.
  • Party system: larger "/join" radius, shared experience.

Also, Karl, did you get the global chat bug (leftover text is prefixed with '-', not '--')?

Still lurking. This bug is going to be attacked in its own update--as I mentioned in another post, even commercial games are subject to this problem. Be sure your nVidia drivers are up-to-date and cross your fingers.
