I assume it boosts drop rates, but more complicated implementations of luck could affect any part of the game that incorporates randomness. Skewed attack damage, more crits, and increased spawn are all possibilities.

as Karl said ingame it works like "magic find" on Diablo. Higher chance to find items of better quality. Adding it together with attacks etc would not work with the current amount of % it gives atm (i got like 60%)
