Missing d3dx9_39.dll

I downloading the directx update and still i get the same error. Any ideas?

right now my guess is karls going through the debugger to figure out why its being caused, cuz even after installing the new direct x (not his link) it will still come up with a couldnt create vertex buffer error

Yeah that's really weird that it's not working. Did you install the version from my download, or just the latest DirectX? I think you have to install the one using the download I hosted.

i had the same problem, but some how it got fixed when i installed both the new update from microsoft.com thing, and karls download >.>, try i tlol

physically go into where the d3dx9_39.dll file is in the zip folder, and drag it and place it in your windows32 folder. It is a problem with the dxsetup.exe file. it simply doesn't work. Drag and drop and you'll be ok.

ok im not sure just what is going on with this.
but i had the same problem and i copied d3dx9_39.dll
and searched google and found a download for it.
it was like the 3rd or 4th in that showed up.
i downloaded it and unzipped it and installed it and i had no more problems.
but it wasnt the directx website. but you can try this web site they have alot
